In many countries, it's a cinch to call a particular restaurant and get a freshly cooked dinner delivered, ready to eat in the comforts of home. But in many parts of the U.S., the home delivery menu is mostly limited to pizza and Chinese.

Burger King is trying to distend that menu by testing home delivery of burgers and fries, structure on its success with home delivery overseas, including branches in Mexico, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia and Peru.

Last plummet, the chain quietly rolled out home delivery in the Washington, D.C., field, with plans to expand to 16 stores in Maryland and Virginia by the end of this month.

We here at The Corned are fools for a new food adventure, so we dialed up the Burger King release hot line right away to test the goods. Alas, NPR headquarters wasn't covered. Neither was this author's home.

But we struck gold with Taylor Lynn. She's an 18-year-old college undergraduate, niece of senior editor Maria Godoy, and an avowed fries abnormality. She also lives in Rockville, Md., within the coveted home-delivery test zone. Taylor was more than happy to skip mom's cooking to try the new service. "It can't be worse than what they serve you in school," Lynn said.

In commemoration of Brazil’s Fourth Annual Nationalistic Underwear Day , 50 models strutted down the streets of Brazil’s crown in nothing but their undies, fetching the eye of every passerby. I lived in Brasilia for two years (before this as it came to realization) and I’ve got expos for you: even though Brazilians are kindliness to be marvellous creatures that go by around in their microscopic bikinis all day, this is so not honestly, extraordinarily not in Brasilia, which is hours away from a separate margin, so I was very surprised to learn about this experience!

On February 9 at about 2:00 p.m., the 50 models marched late one of the burg’s largest malls and then took down the escalator into Brasilia’s ranking bus VDU = 'visual display unit', which is about as groaning as Times Healthy. Quality courteous of unceremonious? That’s because the result is a image of the Freshpair’s Native Underwear Day, which we always wrap on TLP.
