Jon Favreau,the screen was based on Platinum Studios’ 2006 graphic untested, offered perhaps the wildest mash-up of genres ever served up in either film or comics. The concept was so flighty, and the execution of the film was so flawless that it virtually defies description but proved to be from the ground up original, and thoroughly entertaining.

Rounding out the “comicbook” films of 2011 were Transformers and Conan, and while neither was indeed based on characters that originated in comics,both have such a long history with the device, that we have included both here. Transformers was the modern-day equivalent of bread and circuses and we as a reviewer couldn’t have been happier. It was much advance than the middle film of this trilogy, and wound up being two hours of giant robots blowing attitude up and mindless testosterone-fuelled violence, what could be a better way to spend an evening in the tenebrous during the Summer months? As for Conan, it took some heat as it didn’t act Arnold Schwarzenegger , but we found the film to be not only entertaining, but closer in content to the stories we present in the Marvel Comic while growing up.

After being hailed as a superstar in the English-vocabulary urgency, Colombian presidential applicant Antanas Mockus is fa review for his distinction-grabbing antics and insufficiency of real policies.

In a damaging article titled "Is this showoff fit to be Colombia's next president?" , Cuban-born correspondent Carlos Alberto Montaner accuses the Fresh seeker of torment from a histronic nature ferment.

"Mockus is the public idiom of surrealism," says Montaner, a man with a "pathological" craving to be the center of publicity, manifested in his often-cited stunts such as mooning a multitude of university students and getting married in a circus.

Montaner compares Mockus to prevailing Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who he also diagnoses as a histronic, along with Cuban rebellious band leader Fidel Castro and former Argentine President Juan Peron.
