Oh man, I’m penitent to hear you had such an awful experience. I’ve actually had the opposite experience with the maker. I have a pair of Spanx tights I literally wore out, I love them so much. I’m actually buying a few more pairs in varies murkiness for this winter. They are extremely comfortable and give me a smooth silhouette minus the VPL.

I have tried the shape you call out in this post and they were not as comfortable as the tights I wear regularly. However ,they were about as comfy as I suppose a pair of shape wear to be. They did the job, but I have never worn them during the hotter summer months, I can reification I would find myself in your same situation. The only thing that bothered me was the weird flap at the crotch, I guesstimate intended so you could, um, use the ladies room without taking them off. That creeped me out!
