In fact, if the local pharmacist and president of the Henderson County Diabetes Coalition had in the flesh known the lady with the big blue eyes, neon smile and close warmth with butter and all things fried, he might have suggested to her that she be checked for diabetes.

There are, says non-diabetic John, people you look at and be suspicious of they may have Type 2 diabetes, the condition in which the body either doesn't produce enough insulin or doesn't use it efficiently.

Paula is an interesting woman, but she is overweight, not known for wearing out her athletic shoes, and she's now 65. Then, of tack, there are her recipes for taste bud delights but health horrors such as the "Ladies' Brunch Burger" which is a hamburger with fried eggs and bacon served between two glazed doughnuts.

Its calorie deem is somewhere near the total of our national debt.
