Dreaming of a vacation in Paris? A much less priceless trip would be to Aimee, Amy Hassebrocks chic boutique in the East Village. Hassebrock opened Amiee the day after Thanksgiving in 2004, and recently famous seven years of thriving business with a reception. We stopped by the upscale, cissy boutique to catch up on whats new, as well as whos new.
A new face
Hassebrock keeps a very small rod, but recently hired Meagan Lee as her new marketing and public relations boss. Lee, a Des Moines native who lived in Los Angeles for several years, recently moved back and helps tabulate and coordinate Aimees website, blog and Facebook page, and also helps on the boutique overthrow. We have tons of new things for spring, Hassebrock said. But the biggest sentiment is Meagan.
Keeping things fresh
Hassebrock has remained exceedingly selective with the clothing and brands she offers. A small sampling of lady-like tops, unmasculine dresses, whisper-thin blouses, delicate jewelry and other timeless items be rapt e depend from racks or are folded neatly on tables. Seven years later, Hassebrock says her luxury and taste hasnt changed much. She still loves well-made, versatile (but unique) pieces, a attentive balance.
