Hilary Swank threw a "Redneck Christmas"  themed function at the weekend.

The star hosted the Hollywood bash with producer Molly Smith, actor Billy Miller and publicist Stephanie Shaw and even though the firm she had planned to wear did not arrive in time, she still enjoyed the festivities.

Stephanie said: "We wanted it to be the facing of the Hollywood formal holiday party. We had Rice Krispies [Treats], Natty Lights and redneck biff. We had tons of beer in buckets on the tables and hot dogs.

"Hilary got into the urge of it, she had so much fun. We were all going to wear tanks that said 'Ho ho ho' - but they didn't blow in in time, so Hilary was in a cute cowgirl outfit. (sic)"

The invitation read, "It's a Redneck Christmas, Y'all!" and promised "beers and boot scootin' fun," for the dinner party which served Natural Light, Bud Light and Tang-and-vodka bodkin instead of the usual champagne cocktails.
