COOS BAY -- Highway 101 Harley-Davidson will see a facelift with
the Urban Renewal Intervention's approval of a facade improvement grant
for the Second Street matter.
Based on a low bid and a 50-50 match requirement for the city
grant, the commerce will receive $6,325 to help replace windows and
doors on the north side of the construction.
City councilors, acting in their dual capacity as agency
members, also approved negotiating a contract not to outdistance $98,181
with Cascadia Consulting. The contract would be for three years,
with an extra year opportunity, and the scope of work would be grant
writing for the Egyptian Theatre Retention Association, City
Manager Rodger Craddock said.
Before the action meeting, councilors also approved:
• An emergency operations plan that aligns with other agencies'
and entities' plans.
• A revised Row-boat Building Center management agreement worth
$24,000 that will be paid to the center over the next two years to
cover operations costs while the center builds success.
