Once warmer unwell gets here, say in a month or two, people will be scrambling to brighten up their wardrobes. And this derive from, all signs point to neon for a bold shot of color in dresses, pants, shoes, even jewelry, makeup and fasten lacquers.
This isn't the acidic neon of the '80s, but bold, rich pops of oranges, yellows and fuchsias.
The vault and summer 2012 collection of nail colors by Butter London number an eye-popping pink called Disco Biscuit and a striking teal named Slapper.
"This is an production of neon — still bright and in the same color family, but more sophisticated and reserved," Butter London creative director Nonie Creme told course-spotting blog Refinery 29.
Runway collections for spring 2012 included orangey citrus-colored dresses and skirts at Derek Lam, and taxicab-yellow walking shorts at Diane von Furstenberg.
Dannijo, the über-hot jewelry and accessories body, offers a collection of necklaces, bracelets and earrings featuring pops of neon, including the Hixson bib collar set with brightly colored Swarovski crystals paired with metal chains.
